The Story
The extremely hard-to-find (especially in the States) 1975 debut album from the masters of samba doido and arguably one of the greatest Brazilian bands of all time, Azymuth. No hard sell required here - this is a sweet slice of psych-influenced samba that'll open itself up and reveal great things to anyone willing to listen. Just check the samples: "Linha do Horizonte," "Dos Dois Bicudos," "Seems Like This," "Wait For My Turn" and my personal favorite, "Montreal City." Fantastic sound quality on this remastered version. Ten tracks in all. Released by Far Out Recordings on black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve. Highly recommended.
- black vinyl pressing
- gatefold sleeve
- original release year: 1975
- music label: Far Out Recordings 2017
