Built To Spill switched things up for You In Reverse. The album ushered in a third phase for the guitar driven indie rock band. The guitar overdubs and studio polish of previous releases were left by the wayside in favor of a more raw and spontaneous approach. Songs are stretched out so the guitars can jam and everyone can get a little loose. From "Goin' Against Your Mind" to the overtly exuberant "Conventional Wisdom" there's plenty to dig into. You In Reverse gave us a taste of a band waking up and deciding to head off into unknown territory.
