Offering is the third album from the New York City duo Cults. The band's signature "darkly retro sound," funneled through its self-titled 2011 debut and the 2013 follow-up, Static, put Madeline Follin & Brian Oblivion squarely on the indie map (licensing folks must be constantly calling also). For the latest full-length, however, the pair shoots for a much brighter sound: shimmery melodies, jangly guitar strums, and Follin's pure vocals all work together for 11 colorful, catchy and memorable songs.
