The Story
Now on 45 by popular demand! Two obvious standouts off El Michels Affair's acclaimed full length of Wu-Tang funk covers (Enter The 37th Chamber) get the official 7" treatment. EMA's version of "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" takes the Ol' Dirty Bastard classic and re-imagines it with razor-sharp live instrumentation that trades horns for pianos, even adding a kids chanting ("WU! TANG!") to really take it over the top. On the flip, Raekwon's "Incarcerated Scarfaces" is interpreted into a lowkey funk banger. Can I get a Suuuuuu?
- black 7" vinyl pressing
- original release year: 2009
- music label: Fat Beats 2024
