Debut album from Ibeyi on XL. For their self-titled release, Twin sisters Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Diaz fuse their roots in Yoruba culture with downtempo, hip-hop and electronica with absolutely stunning results. As daughters of famed Afro-Cuban percussionist Miguel "Anga" Diaz, it is safe to say music is in their blood - and that heritage certainly comes through in the sound that is very heavy, yet soulful and magical all at the same time. Take a listen to "Ghosts," "River," "Think Of You," "Yanira," and "Singles," for a taste.
