The Story

Sought-after album from Lifetones finally gets a proper reissue. Originally released in 1982, For A Reason was the sole release from Charles Bullen of legendary post-punk trio This Heat, and Julius Cornelius Samuel. The duo combined heavy reggae and dub with angular post-punk and krautrock-informed repetition to create one of the most potent and forward-thinking releases of the era. Check out "Good Side," "Decide," "Patience," "Distance No Object," and the title track "For A Reason" - these vibes defy time. Standard black vinyl with remastered sound from the original master tapes, presented in gatefold sleeve with essay by Daniel O'Sullivan of Grumbling Fur and Ulver. Recommended.

  • gatefold sleeve
  • digitial download included
  • music label: Light In The Attic 1983 / 2016
