The Story
Third album from Low Roar aka Ryan Karazija. Born in Oakland, California, he is currently based in Warsaw, Poland with stops in Mexico, Iceland, and Sweden in between. Karazija began writing for Once In A Long, Long While soon after his divorce, and the album is full of dark but beautiful textures —synths, acoustic guitar, some drums—that fall perfectly in place with RK's yearning vocals. Warm, quiet post-rock mixed with downtempo/electronica sums up the running sonic theme running through the 13-tracker, and tracks to check out include "Bones," "Don't Be So Serious," "St. Eriksplan," "Give Me An Answer," and "Without You."
