The Story
Yes. This is one of those tracks that I've had in the back of my head for a while, but never knew the artist or title. Remixes of The Supremes have long been a Baltimore staple, here Omar-S gives the Detroit rendition(1). Singling out one line from "Come See About Me," Omar performs a masterclass on classic house music production: crisp drums, deep bassline, filter effects, and the extended outtro. On the inside cut of the a-side, there's an alternate version, which is basically the outtro and is great for mixing with original (I never say this anymore, but buy doubles!). Flip features "Night" a chicago-style, techno-house number. Recommended.
