L.A. beat scene starfleet commander returns to Matthewdavid’s Leaving Records with another volume of wobbly riddims from the outer limits! Ras G has been soundtracking the bassier end of the space/time continuum for over a decade now, but this time he turns his focus inward - more inward than most are willing to go - with ten tracks devoted to a different kind of Stargate: “Stargate Music is a record that I livicated to the Womb-man…to the Vagina, The Stargate from which beings emanate life on this planet. I gathered these sound pieces and presented it as a reflection of the life cycle of beings on this planet.” Longtime devotees of the sound won’t be disappointed by this fleshy new subject matter though; there’s still enough stardust dripping from these drums to keep the likes of Kurt Russell happy. Check out “The Nector Of Stargate,” “Intimate Reconnections” and “Primordial Water Formations” 1 and 2.
