Hailing from London, Archie Fairhurst aka Romare delivers a smashing electronic album. The talented producer takes his name from the late Romare Bearden, who was known best for his collages. Fairhurst's art takes a similar form, as he samples from soul, funk, jazz, blues, gospel, and other genres to weave together a forward, experimental body of work, which usually sits on top of bass-influenced rhythms. From the stunning vocal sample of the opening track "Who to Love?" to the disco-funk of "All Night" or the dancefloor-minded trip that is "Who Loves You," Love Songs - Part Two is smooth, groovy, and flat out impressive, definitely one of the strongest releases of the year from Ninja Tune. This is the 180g white vinyl pressing of the record, includes original artwork by Romare and MP3 download code.
