Ryan Adams continues his string of 7" releases record at his Paxam Studios. If you've caught him on his recent tour you've gotten a glimpse of "Blue Light." He paints a bleak picture with his lyrics but the music is anything but. The guitars channel a little Johnny Marr on the quick paced, upbeat track. The B side continues with dreary imagery set against more lush musical backing. "On My Life" recounts Adams' time living in a hotel that was once a children's hospital for sick children on the corner of 2nd Avenue and A in New York City. The closing track is more gritty and fleshed out, apparently drawing some inspiration from The Cure.
