major breakout for Odd Future affiliates. Syd the Kyd and her Wolf Gang squad are back at it again with their unique brand of modern R&B. While their last album was much more of a live sounding experience, Ego Death fine tunes the vibe and adds a bit more boom bap into the mix. For those new to the party and think you might be down with the OFWGKTA, this is the exact opposite of that sound which keeps with the ethos and is like fuck it, i'm do my thing. Chicago youngster Vic Mensa, Janelle Monae, Drake collaborator James Fauntleroy, beatsmith Kaytranada, and Tyler The Creator all makes appearances loaning their style without over indulging. A definite lab office favorite for the year, we are only hoping the label goes back to press their earlier albums on wax.
